I started Mahogany Dermatology to share my journey as I become a Dermatology Nurse Practitioner (NP), to provide resources and to be a resource for other aspiring Dermatology NPs.

My name is Dr. Kimberly Madison, DNP, AGPCNP-BC (she/her) and I am a Board-Certified Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner. I started my nursing career at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC. I then matriculated into the BSN-DNP program at The George Washington University. It was during this time that I began listening to a number of entrepreneurs and investors which sparked a new way of thinking about time and money. Motivated by this information and many Black women in my community, I decided to gift myself a one-year sabbatical after graduating from the DNP program to explore these new interests. Mahogany Dermatology combines my passion for writing with my love for community, healthcare, entrepreneurship, and mentorship.
